Business Analyst

The SharePoint Business Analyst role combines overall SharePoint administrative and configuration and knowledge about effective use of SharePoint within a business setting, with business analysis and organizational and documentation skills.
Candidate is expected to know how to configure sites, libraries, content types, and lists for effective use within organizations. The candidate’s functions include:

  • Capturing and documenting business requirements
  • Creating an Information Architecture that includes enterprise metadata and site hierarchy.
  • Understanding how to map requirements to existing out-of-box and 3rd party capabilities.
  • End user training in the use and configuration of SharePoint

Project Manager

Responsible for deliverables management for significant projects that will include design, architecture, deployments, upgrades, migrations and applications development. Deliver business technology solutions from receipt of a feasibility acceptance through implementation in a production ready state. Management of applications, projects, assignments, task and resource management in support of the business objectives. The Project Manager has overall accountability for the performance and results of assigned projects and deliverables. The objective is consistent delivery of committed projects on-schedule and with agreed scope.

Responsibilities include the full scope of project planning and project management activities, including staff allocation and direction, budgeting related to assigned projects; the supervision of team members, including programmers, business analysts; as well as the evaluation and development of team members. Success is measured by delivery of committed projects on-schedule and with agreed scope, from receipt of the initial IT Request, through creation of the business case, and all phases of development and deployment through acceptance to a production-ready state.

Candidate is expected to know how to configure sites, libraries, content types, and lists for effective use within organizations.

Knowledge and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor Degree, or equivalent required

Experience

  • SharePoint sites, libraries, content types
  • Five+ years of Project Management experience or equivalent managerial experience
  • Experience managing small to mid-size cross-functional teams and conducting performance reviews
  • Experience with use case analysis, managing development teams, MS Project, MS-Office suite
  • Able to develop and execute on implementation strategies
  • Extensive analytic and problem solving expertise
  • Experience working in a matrix environment with dual reporting responsibilities (to IT and customers)
  • Experience developing and refining processes
  • Systems Strategic thinking with relationship management
  • Participation in multi-discipline, high performance work teams
  • Successful implementation of process improvements or new work processes
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated success in working comfortably and effectively with a diverse group of technology and business people; both internally and externally, on a professional level, and in a cross-functional environment, and across all levels of management
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, with a positive attitude through leadership by example, as well as the demonstrated ability to motivate teams to ensure that timelines and task priorities are achieved.

Self-motivated and innovative with highly developed analytic and problem solving skills.
